In short, we grew up together. Our moms were best friends, our families have farmed next to each other for

almost a century. David and Phil are twin brothers, along with good friend Tom, the three of them traveled the

world and made it on their own before returning to their family farms. Phil, David, and Tom share a passion for

Clarksburg–the wine, the history, and the community. Their vision is to create wines that encompass what

Clarksburg ‘is’, and share that passion with the world. Tom is an 8th generation farmer in the Sacramento

Valley and manages the day-to-day business operations of his family farm in Clarksburg, where they specialize

in growing high quality winegrapes. Tom earned his B.A. degree in International Relations from UC Davis.

While at UC Davis, Tom earned an Undergraduate Fellowship with the Foundation for the Defense of

Democracies, which allowed him to study counter-terrorism and democracy in Israel and Washington, D.C.

Tom has continued his education with project management and winegrape production coursework from the UC

Davis Extension. Tom currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Clarksburg Winegrape Growers and

Vintners Association, and is a member of Class 44 in the California Agriculture Leadership Program.

DINNER: 1)Zahirs Famous Prime Rib, Slow roasted and basted in own juices, served Au Jus, Potato Croquette&Vegetables.

2)Grilled Salmon Picatta (wild caught) finished with capers, white wine and lemon butter veggies.

3)Eggplant Linguine Parmesan Grilled eggplant, Linguine, sautéed mushrooms, red onions, bell peppers,

 Monterey-Jack and Parmesan, and Marinara sauce.

Tossed Green Salad (organic) with House Dressing, Bread, Coffee, and Desert.

Open Seating. Turn cell phones off, and because with wine the nose is so important, please no fragrances.

COST: WINO members $60.00 per person. Guests (prospective members) $70.00 ea. Members may bring one

guest at member price, per member. Non-members may attend their first event at member price. This event is

only for ages, 21 and older, no pets. Please make checks out to WINO and mail to the above address. If your

payment won`t be received by Wednesday October 17th, 4pm, then please call to let Bruce know. In the case

of you don`t show, you still must pay, because I still have to pay for the meals & wine ordered. You will not be

contacted unless a sellout precludes receipt of your check. There will be no refunds after the above date, unless

your place can be filled.

Thank You: Another Beautiful Day at Nonno’s Italian Garden up in the Redwood Estates, with Ralph & his

crew providing a delicious spread. We also enjoyed the wines and company of Burrell School Downhill Cellars Kathryn Kennedy Winery, Muccigrosso Vineyards Naumann Vineyards Vino Nonno’s andOdonata Winery, with 33 WINOs there,

we pick up 13 cases for $3713.
